Cordelia Hanna-Cheruiyot, MPH, CHES, ICCE, CLE, CBA is a Certified Childbirth Educator (ICEA), Certified Birth Assistant (ALACE), Certified Lactation Educator (CAPPA), Postpartum Doula and Assistant Midwife. She has taught hundreds of couples and attended births as an Assistant Midwife and Doula/Monitrice in hospitals, birth centers and homes since 1991. Cordelia received her Master's in Public Health in Health Education and Promotion/Maternal Child Health from Loma Linda University. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) accredited by NCHEC, the gold standard for professional health educators. She has extensive experience working in the public health arena in Los Angeles as a Perinatal and Women's Health Education Consultant, Trainer and Workshop Leader. She is also the Executive Director of The Association for Wholistic Maternal and Newborn Health which provides education and training for perinatal health workers and education and support for childbearing families.

Cordelia is the mother of two home-born, family bedded, breastfed children, who are now capable and bright young adults. She teaches the Empowered Birth Choices Natural Childbirth Preparation Class at Los Angeles Birth Partners and also the Cultivating Trust in Birth Couples Weekend Birth Preparation Workshop.

Deborah Raoult is dedicated to the wisdom of the body and the liberating power of movement Her odyssey has taken her to Buddhist practice, yoga, and ultimately to Continuum - the fluid movement exploration of life itself. As a movement educator, she draws on this diverse experience to teach with an educated eye, a passion for sharing, and a deep love of inquiry.

An authorized teacher of Continuum Movement and Jungle Gym Workout, Deborah instructs nationally and assists the founder of this work, Emilie Conrad, in seminars. She also is a certified practitioner of Body-Mind Centering, an innovative approach to movement analysis and re-education.

A mother of three children, Deborah's extensive childbirth-education background includes Prenatal exercise training with physical therapist and author Elizabeth Noble, and Labor Assistant training with Informed Birth and Parenting. She has been deeply inspired by the work of renowned childbirth advocate, Dr. Michel Odent, author of "Birth Reborn," who was her physician for the birth of her first child. She is a member of the Association for Pre and Perinatal Psychology and Health and serves on the Advisory Group for Birthing the Future, an organization founded by photojournalist Suzanne Arms.

Deborah has taught yoga internationally since 1980 and is registered to teach through the Yoga Alliance. Her inspiration and training come from the lyengar tradition, and she has studied with the lyengar family in India. Her credits also include Yoga Journal Conference presentations. She co-directed the Center for Aplomb and Yoga with Francois Raoult, in Rochester, N.Y. for 16 years before founding Open Sky Movement.

Donna Eshelman, M.A., G.C.F.P., is a Movement Specialist and founder of Stellar Caterpillar®, an innovative infant-focused practice that teaches skilled movement to healthy babies. Integrating a graduate degree in dance from UCLA and international studies in kinesiology, movement analysis, and motor-learning, Donna has created movement techniques that are a catalyst for physical, emotional and cognitive growth. Through workshops, lectures, and her enlightening website, she teaches that movement training enhances much more than just motor development, it creates physical confidence and fosters positive self-image.

Donna's 17+ years of professional life includes post graduate certifications in The Feldenkrais Method® from Florence, Italy, The Child'Space Chava Shelhav Method of Infant Development from Chicago, and Bones for Life® with Ruthy Alon in Los Angeles. Elaine received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 1994 and her License as a Clinical Social Worker in California in 1998. From 1996 to 2007 Elaine worked for Vista Del Mar Child and Family Services and Westside Children's Center in early intervention programs providing therapeutic services to children birth to five and their families. She credits working as part of multi-disciplinary teams with pediatric nurses and child development specialists for her breadth of knowledge about infant development and health. In these settings she developed her own expertise in infant mental health and attachment and bonding.

Elaine was grateful for all her years of training and experience when she became a mom in 2005 and knows how much this helps her face the challenges of her own parenting with a calm understanding. Her goal is to provide support, information, and skills to help you feel clear and centered about your parenting choices, and appreciate and enjoy your relationship with your baby.

Erica Stephenson has been working with young children and their families in the field of child development for over 15 years as an educator and clinician. She has a Master of Social Work degree from USC as well as holding both Bachelor's and Master's in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College. Erica is currently in a Doctoral program at The Graduate Center for Child Development and Psychotherapy. Much of Erica's research and scholarly work has focused on attachment, autonomy, and meeting the developmental needs of individuals at all stages of life.

Erica is certified as both a Breakthrough Parenting® instructor and a Reflective Parenting facilitator. She is currently the Lead Teacher and Teacher Trainer for the Outside the Box (OTB) educational and developmental program for infants, toddlers, young children and their families. In addition to being a parent educator, Erica is a psychotherapist working with individuals, families, and children in a social service agency in Santa Monica and in private practice in Encino, CA.

Ms. Tornetta is a certified birth and postpartum doula, lactation educator, a certified clinical hypnotherapist, a NLP (neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner, and a certified shiatsu therapist. Giuditta practices clinical hypnotherapy and a method of natural childbirth that uses hypnotic techniques to reduce stress and fear during labor and delivery. Her love for women and the birthing and parenting experience has enabled her to help hundreds of women in her practice and thousands with her book and lectures, to obtain the birthing experience they deserve and desire.

She focuses on infant mental health and pre-post birth bonding, where she uses guided meditations and visualizations to help women communicate and empower their babies before birth. As a lactation educator and postpartum doula, Ms. Tornetta helps couples settle into a natural routine once the baby comes home. Through education, compassion, practical as wells as emotional support, Doula Giuditta teaches new parents how to decipher the newborn's vocal and body language.

Giuditta is also a published author of the best selling book Painless Childbirth: An Empowering Journey Through Pregnancy and Birth.

Khefri Riley's foray into the world of babies and families has it's inspiration from her paternal great-grandmother, a renowned Cherokee midwife. In addition to being a mother to 11 year old son Zen, Khefri has her Pre-Natal Yoga Certification from Golden Bridge Yoga, is a Certified Itsy Bitsy Yoga Facilitator, Certified Yoga Ed. Instructor, trained miniyogis teacher, and is a trained Doula with D.O.N.A (Doulas of North America). Her yoga classes have been featured in People Magazine, NBC and on Fox Ch. 11 News.

With over 10 years experience as a birth doula, post-partum doula and childbirth educator, Khefri helps women prepare for birth, seek empowered birth experiences and recover holistically in the post-partum period.

Khefri has taught thousands of mothers, fathers, and babies the joys of yoga. As a facilitator of yoga and arts based curriculums for kids, teens, and at-risk youth, she has touched the lives of thousands of children. In turn she has found that it is the children that keep safe human kind's greatest values. Sharing her multi-disciplinary knowledge with others, she leads large group trainings for teachers, healthcare professionals and educators.

Khefri lived in London, England for 10 years where she was a Founder and Executive Producer of Mannafest, a multi-media arts company with a focus on multi-cultural woman's issues and urban youth. Her poetry has been published in various anthologies, notably the Woman's Press and Blackwater Review. She has also appeared on MTV, BBC, and FOX networks as an entertainer. Khefri has over 10 years experience as an international fashion model and spoken word artist. She has now founded Urban Goddess Lifestyle providing holistic women's services.
